Unable to Attend: Vice Commander Eader, Secretary Wienhoff, Kephart, Murphy, Hall and Rinehart
Commander Becker called the meeting to order at 11:30 am.
Minutes of the August 2, 2022 were presented for approval and were approved on Motion by Mount, second by Thornton.
Treasurer's report was presented by Treasurer Mount, which consisted of the Balance Sheet for August 31, 2022 and income and expense for August 2022. After review, the report was approved on motion by Chipley, second by Thornton.
The following matters were discussed:
Commander Becker informed the committee that Secretary Wienhoff tested positive for COVID-19 and unable to attend.
Treasurer Mount reported that he was working on getting our certificate for exemption of Maryland sales tax.
The American Legion FSK-11 luncheon on August 29, for WW-II and Korean Vets provided an excellent meal. Those attending were Chipley, Eader, Rinehart and Thornton.
No report was ready for our trip to visit The Korean War Memorial and Wall of Remembrance in Washington, D.C.
Review of National member and chapter members were discussed.
Citizens Nursing Home has invited the chapter to attend their program honoring all veterans on September 27, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Motion was made and approved to donate $1000.00 for this event.
Discussion was held on number attending Christmas party and the future of our chapter and dissolving it due to membership and attendance.
Chipley contacted Adolph Gardner and the Vietnam Vets chapter will be conducting their annual POW/MIA ceremony on Sept 16, 2022 at 6:30pm at memorial park and has invited us to attend.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:10 pm on motion by Cody, second by Chipley.
